Craft Market at the Railwalk Pavilion

The Salisbury Rowan County Farmers’ Market at the Rail Pavilion now features a monthly craft market. You can shop for local handmade goods on the first Saturday of every month through the end of the year from 8 a.m. to noon. The market will be located in the parking lot between the Salisbury Emporium and the Market Pavilion, 228 E Kerr St.

Historic Josephus W. Hall House

Tour this 1820 property on the National Register of Historic Places, once built as classrooms for the Salisbury Female Academy and five years later reimagined as a private residence. When you stroll the grounds of the Hall House, you can see the restored kitchen outbuilding from 1825 and a cannon from the Salisbury Civil War Prison. It’s your chance to experience more than two centuries of local history including many of the home’s original furnishings.

You can tour Hall House every Saturday from 1 to 4 p.m. from March through December. Admission costs $5 for adults and $3 for ages 12 and older. Younger kids can get in free with a paying adult. The property is located at 226 S Jackson St.

Food Truck Tuesdays at the Rowan County Fairgrounds

Enjoy local fare and live music at this weekly family-friendly event, which runs every Tuesday from 4:30 to 8:30 p.m. through September 12. The Fairgrounds are located at 1560 Julian Rd.

Vendors rotate each week, but past selections have included Hopper’s Soul Food, Kasen’s Krab Shack, Stick It to You Skewers, Poppy’s Waffles, MK’s Kandies and Treats, and many other local businesses. You can also check out the food trucks for lunch on Wednesday from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. and the third Sunday of the month from 1 to 6 p.m.

Fireworks Over Historic Spencer Shops

You can catch this festive event less than 3 miles from Salisbury in Spencer on Saturday, July 1. It takes place at the North Carolina Transportation Museum at 1 Samueum Spencer Dr from 5:30 to 9:30 p.m. In addition to fireworks at the end of the night, this family-friendly celebration includes lawn games, inflatables, a DJ, a balloon artist, truck demos from Daimler North America, and other fun, free activities.

You’ll love driving the sporty 2024 Kia Seltos to all these summer Salisbury events, and it’s also one of the most spacious subcompact crossovers on the market. Test drive this small SUV today at Randy Marion Kia in Salisbury, NC.
