LX
Every 2023 Soul trim features a 147-horsepower four-cylinder engine, with standard front-wheel drive and a continuously variable automatic transmission. It’s also full of standard driver assistance tech including rear-seat alert, lane-keep assist, auto high beams, forward collision warning with automatic emergency braking, pedestrian detection, driver attention monitoring, and a rearview camera.
The base model of the Soul comes with an 8-inch infotainment screen with smartphone connectivity, a six-speaker stereo, and Bluetooth. EX
The Soul EX upgrades to 17-inch alloy wheels with a unique design, with exclusive body-colored exterior trim. It also adds a handy adjustable cargo shelf with a cargo cover.
This trim has a sunroof and heated front seats, so it’s an excellent choice if you want a car with a comfortable, light-filled cabin. You’ll get slightly better gas mileage with the EX than the other Soul trims, an increase of up to 35 miles per gallon compared to a max of 33 mpg.
GT-Line
At the top of the Soul lineup, the GT-Line version features 18-inch alloy wheels, a center-exit exhaust, and unique front and rear bumper styling. The interior has synthetic leather upholstery. You can add a higher-level Technology package to get the cargo cover and shelf and heated front seats from the EX trim. It also comes with fog lights, LED headlights, cyclist detection, and adaptive cruise control.
