2023 Kia Forte

The 2023 Forte comes with a large lower grille, a smaller upper grille, a sculpted hood with KIA lettering near the front, an LED light bar that crosses the trunk and connects the taillights, and sculpted sides. You can choose from five trim levels: LX, LXS, GT-Line, GT, and GT Manual. Standard features include automatic high beams, 15-inch wheels, daytime running lights, and solar glass.

You can add a rear spoiler, red accents for the front bumper, heated side mirrors with turn signals, a power sunroof, a power trunk that can open automatically, chrome dual exhaust, and fog lights. Other options include 16-, 17-, or 18-inch wheels and summer tires. Gravity Gray, Currant Red, Snow White Pearl, Aurora Black, Steel Gray, Deep Sea Blue, Clear White, Fire Orange, and Sporty Blue exterior colors are available.

The four-cylinder, 2.0-liter engine gives 147 horsepower and 132 pound-feet of torque, and it uses an intelligent variable transmission (IVT). With the GT trim levels, you'll get a turbocharged, four-cylinder, 1.6-liter motor that provides 201 horsepower and 195 pound-feet of torque. The GT Manual has a six-speed manual transmission, and the GT uses a seven-speed, dual-clutch transmission with paddle shifters for the steering wheel.

The Forte has maneuverable power steering and a smooth, quiet ride. Eco, Sport, and Comfort driving modes are available. With the 2.0-liter engine, this car gets up to 30 mpg in traffic and 41 mpg on the open road. With the 1.6-liter motor and the manual transmission, you can get 22 mpg in the city and 31 mpg on the highway. The seven-speed transmission lets you travel up to 27 mpg within cities and 35 mpg on bigger roads.

The interior of this vehicle is spacious and comfortable. It comes with a 4.2-inch driver instrument display, an 8-inch touchscreen, Apple CarPlay, Amazon Alexa, Android Auto, voice recognition, Bluetooth, and three USB ports. You'll also get keyless entry, two 12-volt power outlets, an adjustable steering wheel with phone, cruise, and audio controls, and a warning system that lets you know when your windshield wiper fluid is low. An overhead sunglasses holder and folding rear seats are standard as well.

Options include a 10.25-inch touchscreen, navigation, a 10-way power driver's seat with lumbar settings, SiriusXM satellite radio, and a Harman Kardon eight-speaker audio system with a subwoofer. You can also choose wireless charging, push-button start, remote start, and dual-zone climate control with a vent for the rear seats.

The 2023 Forte comes with a rearview camera, driver attention warning, forward collision avoidance, pedestrian detection, lane-keeping assistance, parking guidance, and hill start assistance.
